"P" IS FOR PRIVILEGE, REPORT CARDS, AND VOLUNTEERS CALLOUT

JOIN US ONLINE MONDAY NIGHT - “P” IS FOR PRIVILEGE

 

Monday night, at 6:30 PM, the School Council is hosting Overture with the Arts for an online 45-minute presentation about equality, bias, justice, and diversity. Omari Newton is our special guest presenter. 

Please join us online at the Google Meet sent home in your email. 

 

REPORT CARDS ARE ONLINE - CHECK THEM OUT!

Term two reports were posted on Friday, March 17. View your child’s report card online on the Parent Portal. After logging in, click on the left hand menu to view the Term 2 report card. 

 

FUNDRAISING SOCIETY NEEDS YOU

The following is a request from the Friends of A.L. Horton School Society as they fundraise for our playground refurbishments.

The Society is calling on parents/guardians with children in designated grades to help fill these volunteer positions.   

Legion Steak Fry and Breakfasts:

  • Friday, March 31, 2023 – FROM GRADES 4 THROUGH 6 (4-5 volunteers)

o   Steak-fry [Volunteers arrive at 4:45 PM; supper is 5:30 to 7:00 PM]

  • Sunday, May 14, 2023 – FROM GRADES 1 THROUGH 3 (3-4 volunteers)

o   Breakfast - [Volunteers arrive at 8:45 AM; breakfast is 9:00 to 11:30 AM]

Where:   Royal Canadian Legion Branch 39 – 5037 52 Avenue, Vegreville

What:     Collect/wash dishes, wipe tables, assist with kitchen cleanup, and possibly dishing out food.

Perk:       Meal is included; great people!

April 11 to 14 Ukrainian cultural program Easter baking 

April 11, 13, 14 Hot lunches provided by CALS for those who ordered

April 12  Hot dog fundraiser lunch

April 15  Young Authors Conference in Sherwood Park

April 18, 20, 21 Hot lunches provided by CALS for those who ordered

April 19  Hot dog fundraiser lunch

April 21  Jump Rope for Heart assembly
